Achievements

  • Students of Heritage School have been participating in National Children’s Science Congress since the year 2008 and have been representing the state at National Level Every Year.

  • The following students were selected to represent the State at the National Level.
    1) Mayank Gupta  (Class – IX) Represented the State at National Level at Dimapur
      Topic: - Evolution , perception and management of landslides.
    2) Siddharth Aswal   (Class – IX)    Represented the State at Indian Science Congress at Gauhati.
      Topic : - Evolution , percepation and management of landslides.
    3) Venkat Sarkar   (Class – VI)  Represented the State at National Level at Ahmedabad.
      Topic : - Parthenium management through participatory appraisal.
    4) Simran Kaur   (Class – X)     Represented the State at National Level at Chennai
      Topic: - To survey land degradation due to brick kilns and suggest alternatives.
          
  • Skating :

    Manray Singh paricipated in CBSE and clinched 3rd place (Bronze Medal) in year (2010-11) at chd on 28-30 Oct 2011.

    Anubhav participated National Skating Championship held at Vishakapatnam, Andra Pradesh and clinched 2nd place silver Medal (2011-12)

  • OCTOBER - 2011 : Student Shreya Bharti of Heritage School bagged 10th position among top 20 students selected from all over the Country to represent India in the Seventeenth United National Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-17) to be held at Durban in South Africa .
  • OCTOBER - 2011 : Heritage School, Jammu won 1st Prize in National Group Song Competition in Hindi organized by ASN Higher Secondary School, Jamu on 1st Oct. 2011 under the aegis of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Jammu
  • SEPTEMBER - 2011 : Students of Heritage School , Jammu participated in Gold Cup hockey and Speed Championship organized by J&K Roller Skating Association and bagged gold , silver and bronze medals.
  • AUGUST - 2011 : Documentary on " Atrocities on Women and its Eradication' produced by the students of Heritage School Jammu was adjudged the best in a tough competition held at Presentation Convent School Jammu.

  • MAY -2011 :   Vice Chancellor   Jammu University   was invited at Heritagte School to speak on Resilient Indian Democracy and Today's Youth.

  • MARCH - 2011: 26-03-2011 - 60 Earth Hour Day was celebrated and debate was organized . Student of 12th Class MAYANK GUPTA bagged the 1st position.

  • Mahima Sagar of Class XI won first prize in National Young Environmentalist meet held at Pune from Feb. 15th to 18th, 2011.

  • JANUARY 2011 : 35th Peace Conference was held at Abhinav Theatre.Venkat Sarkar of Class 7th won Best Student trophy by His Excellency The Governor Mr. N.N. Vohra.

  • DECEMBER 2010 : 18th National Children Science Congress held at VELS university Chennai. Simran Kaur of class 10th represent State of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • SEPTEMBER 2010 : Inter School Quiz Competition on Wild Wisdom held at University of Jammu. Ojasvi Sharma of class 6th & Vrinda Maini of Class 6th of Heritage School stood first at the State Level.
  • MAY  2010  :   Inter  School  Debate  Competition  for  topic  'Social etworking Sites are responsible for Moral Degradation of Youth' under he aegis of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex held at School premises. Heritage School won BEST SCHOOL RUNNING TROPY & Tavleen Kaur won trophy for Best Speaker for the motion.

  • May 2010 : Hindi Debate Competition held at Army School Akhnoor under the aegis of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex. Heritage School won BEST SCHOOL TROPHY.
  • April 2010 : Nano Nagle Memorial Inter School Debate Competition held at Presentation Convent School Gandhi Nagar upon theme "Making right to education a fundamental right will end ehitism.' Mayank Gupta of Class 11th won 3rd Prize.
  • January 2010 : State Pollution Control Board organized model display ompetition for clean technology environment. Heritage school won 2nd position and were given prizes by Hon'able Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah.

  • November 2009 : Fifth Position : on 35th National song competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Vishakhapatnam. Out of 44 participants around the country, Heritage school bagged 5th Position at National level.

  • OCTOBER 2009 : On 17th National Children Science Congress 2009-10 (J&K) at District level upon the theme : Project Parthenium Management through participatory appraisal. Heritage School was among the first 10 toppers and Master Venkat Sarkar (class VI) participated in this project as a group leader in Ahmedabad, Gujrat.

  • October 2009 : Students from classes 3rd to 10th got 5 top positions at state level in Cyber Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad Foundation.

  • 21st July 2009. Heritage School honoured Best School Award in Jammu District in National Science Olympiad, New Delhi for qualitative performance in 2009.

  • First position : On 16th State Level National Children Science Congress 2008-09 (J&K) upon the theme : understanding Planet Earth held at Dimapur.
  • NOVEMBER 2008 :16th State Level National Children Science Congress 2008 - School had 3 participant students selected for representation at National Level Science Congress at Dimapur & Shillong.

  • December 2007 Heritageans awarded certificate of merit for performing well in "on spot"^/children's  music competition" organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and languages at Abhinav Theatre on 20th December 2007.

  • 7th March 2008 : NDTV's campaign to save tiger was supported by Heritage School. Our institution join hands with NDTV in its campaign against poaching of its finest fauna of nature i.e. Tiger.

  • OCTOBER 2007 : NHPC organized painting competition on 3rd October 2007 for state and   National level. Master Venkat Sarkar brought laurels to the school by standing 3rd at the National Level and received Rs 5000/- cash prize.\
  • Ist MARCH 2007: . Only school in J&K to have been awarded Vice Chancellor's Trophy of Academic Excellence.
  • 20 DECEMBER 2006 : SEHR GUPTA went for National Level Painting Competition ^r Delhi as she had stood first in the State level Competition held by NHPC on Energy Conservation and she won consolation prize at National Level too.
  • 14 NOVEMBER 2006 : Heritageans won iST AND 3rd prize for National<^ Campaign on Energy        Conservation 2006 organized State Level Painting Competition under The Ministry of Power at Abhinav Theatre on 14th November 2006 on the Theme "SAVE ELECTRICITY". Sehr Gupta from class 4th got 1st Rank in the state level competition and Harsha of class 5th was the 2nd runner up.

  • 28 FEBRUARY 2006  :   Visit to His Excellency- The GovernorState of Jammu & Kashmir at Raj Bhawan, Jammu - where students explained about the peace initiatives taken into account in order to strengthen the bilateral understanding across the border. His Excellency, on this day blessed Heritage School Jammu with a Trophy of Academic Excellence.
