HERITAGE CELEBRATES WORLD HERITAGE DAY.

A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational and economic legacies.
The World Heritage Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Heritageans on 18th April 2019 to mark the importance of this day and promote awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage, its vulnerability and the efforts required for its preservation.
Special thought provoking morning assemblies were conducted by the students of primary and senior wing.
Students from the senior wing elaborated on the importance of protecting and preserving our cultural heritage through an informative article. The students learned that heritage refers to practices that are passed down through the years from one generation to the next.
The students and staff thoroughly enjoyed a mellifluous song showcasing the multiple languages of India presented by the school choir. It was followed by a skit in Hindi (Taj Ki Vyatha) which highlighted the plight of our monuments and the apathetic attitude of the public. The special assembly concluded with the students pledging an oath to render all possible help to conserve and preserve our heritage.
Students from the primary wing expressed their views about the preservation of monuments located in every part of the world. A multilingual representation of different countries i.e. Turkey, India, China, Egypt was proficiently exhibited by students along with the translation in English. A colourful feast of different dance styles from Turkey, India, China, Egypt added vibrancy to the morning assembly.
Headmistress, Mrs. Vandana Jasrotia, in her address to the primary school enlightened the students about the 37 Heritage sites in India and its importance for the coming generation.
